“But I have social media to connect with customers. I don’t need to email them too.”

WRONG!!  Social Media is a great way to grow your audience and connect with existing and new customers but it will never replace email for many reasons.  

Don’t let someone else control who sees your content.  I don’t know what an algorithm is, but social media platforms always change them. As few as 7-12% of followers see any given post on social platforms. That means customers do not see your content.

Email puts you in control. Get valuable information and see results by developing relationships through email nurture campaigns. Social media should drive people to your website so they can give you their email address. Before clicking “Add to Cart” what do you check?  Reviews!  

So do your customers.  Social proof is a huge influence to grow businesses. People are more likely to do business with companies that have helped others with the same issue. (Plus, if you don’t ask your best customers for reviews the only one you will get is the 1 star left by your ex mother in law.)
